We’re excited to announce the successful handover of the SAMI Bitumen Technologies Laboratory & Office Refurbishment! The project resulted in the major transformation of the mostly original 1970’s two-level office building to SAMI’s flagship purpose-built R&D facility, supporting advancements in the asphalt binder industry.
Delivered under a full design and construct framework with early contractor involvement, Rintoul provided comprehensive design and project management services, joinery, and workstations.
In coordination with our delivery partners the project included:
– State-of-the-art laboratory spaces
– Indoor and outdoor specimen preparation & storage rooms
– Open-plan office environment with breakout and amenities zones
– Complete overhaul and upgrade of building services for compliance and purpose-built use
– Upgrade and remediation of the building’s accessible access
